'Death of an Adelaidies' Man'
In 1977, the career of the legendary poet-songwriter was briefly derailed by a bizarre and brilliant collaboration with Phil Spector. The product was 'Death of Ladies Man', an alluring and extravagant concept album that has drawn obsessive fan followings, even inspiring a successful book and film adaptation. An eight-piece band revitalises Cohen's intimate and prophetic poetry with dignity - delivering lush arrangements of the album tracks, as well as classics like Hallelujah and First We Take Manhattan. Featuring saxophones, flute, synthesiser and backing vocals - this is the Cabaret Cohen you never knew you needed.
